Sustainability Support
We know that implementing learning from a training course alone to affect lasting system-wide change presents a significant challenge, so your relationship with us doesn’t stop after your training.
To do this we encourage teams to select Bridges Champions, those that fly the flag for Bridges, acting as agents of change within their services and enabling ongoing dialogue and support from Bridges for the wider team.
By becoming Bridges Champions, practitioners join a community of health and care practitioners across all the various regions, pathways, and specialisms we have trained. Champions are encouraged to access the learning, development, and community support that we offer through regular events and communications.
The support you can access:

Implementation Workshop
At the end of the your training, we meet with Team leads and Bridges Champions to plan how you can best sustain Bridges in your team, identifying your first steps, share ideas, and make connections with other teams who are also starting out with Bridges.

Monthly Peer Coaching sessions
Collaborative, reflective spaces where champions can share successes, challenges and questions, and build on experience and ideas from across the Bridges community.

Community of Practice
All training participants are invited to join our online community of practice which contains resources from NHS teams, research and articles. Bridges Champions then access to further resources to support them in their role.

While I was doing the course and immediately afterwards, I felt very ‘Bridgey’ and I was really enjoying it. I notice that when I’m under time pressure I can slip back into ‘getting tasks done’, but all of the ongoing support has helped me to be aware of this and pull it back. I’ve really appreciated the Implementation Workshop and the Monthly Peer Coaching Sessions. I’ve been to 3 now and they’ve been amazing.Physiotherapist, Specialist Palliative Physiotherapy Team, Bedfordshire Hospitals Trust
